9:15 am ~ Tardy Bell

3:45 pm ~ Dismissal Bell

 

Staff members and 5th grade Safety Patrol members are on duty from 8:45 am to 9:15 am and again from 3:45 pm to 4:15 pm to assist students in getting to and from class safely.

 

Buses (Top)

The paved loop behind the Media Center is designated for bus and daycare van pickup and delivery before and after school.  Bus routes are delineated by color.  At the end of the school day, students are released as their bus arrives.

 

Riding a Wake County bus is a privilege based on proper conduct.  To insure the safety of all students who ride buses, the following Wake County rules have been established:

 

	A student is to use only the bus and bus stop assigned.
	Orderly behavior is required at the bus stop.
	Students must remain seated, facing front, when the bus is moving.
	Students are to talk quietly at all times.
	Talk to the driver only when necessary.
	Riders must keep head and arms inside the bus at all times.
	Keep inside of the bus neat and clean.
	Eating and/or drinking is not permitted on the bus.

 

Carpool (Top)

The paved lot in front of the school is the carpool pickup and delivery.  We need the cooperation of each parent, student, and staff member to maintain maximum safety.  Staff members and 5th grade Safety Patrol are on duty from 8:45 am - 9:15 am and 3:45 pm - 4:15 pm.  Please do not use the small parking lot beside the cafeteria fro drop-off or pickup.  This lot is for staff parking.

 

(Top) Carpool Numbers are assigned during the first couple of weeks of school.  Please see the school office should a carpool number be desired during the school year.  Carpool numbers should be clearly displayed as a car moves through the carpool loop.

 

Please follow these carpool guidelines:

 

	Enter the carpool loop from Staghorn.
	Remain in single file following the arrows to the front of the school and the covered archway for drop-off and pickup.  Exit onto Harps Mill Road.
	DO NOT double park to load or unload children.

 

Walkers & Bicycle Riders (Top)

Parents are strongly urged to discuss safety rules with students who walk or ride their bicycles to school.  Bikes should be walked to and from the intersection of Harps Mill/Tanbark and through the cafeteria parking lot.  Bikes can be parked under the overhang of Building 3 in the bike racks.
